hmmm...i would want to know what the reasons were and why they wanted to hold my child back...and it would also depend on their age as well...if theyre older then i might not want to and it also depends if i can maybe fix the situation by hiring a tutor to work with my child and bring them back on track...even if it means everyday tutoring...other then that i wouldnt really be too happy about hold them back a year unless i had no other choices because i know how it is...i wasnt held back but i did go to school a year late and i was usually always older then everyone...my brother and sister were held back and my sister always complains about being older then all her
...oh and i would also talk to my child and see how they felt about being held back...
