Fresh Tomato Salsa

I couldn't decide what category this fit in...

Fresh Tomato Salsa Makes 3-1/2 cups

Have a er crop of garden tomatoes? This is just the recipe to tickle those taste buds with garden-ripe flavors and homemade goodness!

3 large tomatoes, seeded and chopped (3 cups)
1 small green bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup)
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
8 medium green onions, sliced (1/2 cup)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeņo chilies
2 to 3 tablespoons lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt

1. Mix all ingredients in glass or plastic bowl.

2. Cover and refrigerate until serving.

1/4 Cup: Calories 20 (Calories from Fat 0); Fat 0g (Saturated 0g); Cholesterol 0mg; Sodium 125mg; Potassium 180mg; Carbohydrate 4g (Dietary Fiber 1g); Protein 1g
% Daily Value: Vitamin A 10%; Vitamin C 34%; Vitamin D 0%; Calcium 0%; Iron 2%; Folic Acid 4%
Diet Exchanges: 1 Vegetable

Tip:
Store tomatoes at room temperature for the best flavor and texture. Refrigeration make tomatoes mushy and will cause them to lose flavor quickly.

This is a nice recipe and it makes me miss my vegetable garden at my old house! We made and canned all types of salsas and hot sauces with our abundant supply of fresh tomatoes!
