STUFFED TOMATOES
4 medium tomatoes.
1/3 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 pound ground beef or pork (optional)
1 cup cooked rice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dill weed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup dairy sour cream
Fine dry bread crumbs
Remove cores and seeds from tomatoes.
Saute onion in butter. Add meat ; cook until browned. Add rice, dill, salt, pepper, and sour cream; mix well.
Stuff tomatoes with rice mixture. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
Place in a shallow baking dish. Cover. Bake at 375F 20 minutes. Remove cover. Continue baking until tender.

Donna,I'm jealous!I wish I still had my garden.This year I don't have one.At my other house,I had a fairly large one with tomatoes,cucumbers,onions,peppers,squash....

Hopefully I will be going this summer.But maybe in the Fall.
It will be a hard trip because I'll be taking my 2 year old daughter.
Oh, I see. Yall should go someday. Intriguing history and culture there. A few of my favorite old authors were born there. I will be going to city of Kiev and visiting other surrounding towns.
