Who else saw last night's American Idol???

I am amazed, ed and very over last night's American Idol show! Actually I'm disgusted it's become some kind of popularity contest instead of the people being rated on their talent and abilities. To have voted Jennifer Hudson off is absurd and, to me, smacks of some kind of backstabbing or a major screw up. If you ask me (and of course no one has) this show, if it's to continue, has to undergo a complete overhaul in their ratings and voting methods. Calls and text messages need to be limited to one per phone number to prevent family and from bombarding them with votes for certain entertainers.
Mark my words - Jennifer Hudson will be offered a recording contract soon - possibly with from the idol judges or Barry Manilow. This lady's got talent out the "ying-yang" and was unfairly and unjustly eliminated from the competition.

I am not a fan of so called reality shows and only watch AI once the final 12 are in place and then I'm not even a devoted watcher. But the past few weeks I've been glued to the set on Tues and Wed nights because it there's been much controversy about who's remaining (without naming anyone - there's someone still there who clearly doesn't belong - yet the voters keep this person week after week!?!?!)

I hardly ever watch it as all the do is screech & scream. That is not singing. I watched to see Barry Manilow & just left it on.

ening sometimes! Also the show tends to monopolize the week, I mean it is ALWAYS on! Like 2, 3 nights a week! yawn

As you can tell I am not much of a loyal fan!

I would rather watch Dance Fever with Denny Terrio back in the day, now that was some cheesy entertainment, a-yuh!

We are faithful Idol watchers at my house, mostly because it is one of the few shows on appropriate for my 6 year old to watch.

I have to admit that I was rooting for John in the beginning, but to have Jennifer go and him stay was ridiculous. I am sure that she does already have a contract from someone.
