Age Doesn't Matter

The oldest person to sign the Constitution was Benjamin
Franklin (81). The youngest was Jonathan Dayton of New
Jersey (26).

***

Pennsylvania

Of the typographical errors in the Constitution, the mis-
spelling of the word “Pensylvania” above the signers’
names probably stands out the most.

***

3,048 words in the 27 Amendments

The Constitution contains 4,543 words, including the sig-
natures and has four sheets, 28-3/4 inches by 23-5/8 in-
ches each. It contains 7,591 words including the 27 amend-
ments.

Early ships were not fitted with toilets so the crew would
urinate over the side of the vessel. (I couldn't find what
they did for #2)

***

In the United Kingdom it is technically permitted to charge
for water closets, but not for the use of gentlemen's urinals.

***

American President Lyndon Johnson would occasionally want
to see staff members while he sat on the toilet.

Not With Toilet Paper

In most of Asia the custom is to use water rather than
paper, traditionally the left hand is used for this for
which reason that hand is considered impolite or polluted
in many eastern countries.

***

Squat Toilet

(contrast flush toilets) where the user puts his or her
feet on feet rests; the user faces the entrance to the
stall; it is prevalent in Turkey, found in public buildings
and at motorway services in France, Italy, Balkans and,
more often, in the former USSR, especially in Lithuania.

***

High Tech Toilets

The biggest maker of these toilets is Toto. Such toilets
can cost from US $2,000 to $4,000. Some Features include:
* Urine and stool analysis, for medical monitoring.
Matsu****a's "Smart Toilet" checks blood pressure, temp-
erature, and blood sugar.
* Digital clock, to monitor time spent in the room
* Automatic lid operation, to open and close the lid
* Heated seats
* Deodorizing fans
