Does anyone know how to get the smell out of books? A neighbor gave my son some books but from being in the attic for so long they smell kind of mildew-y. Thanks for the .

I have heard that placing newspaper in between the pages will to take the smell away. If I find anything else I will let you know.

I read somewhere...a long time ago...that you can stand the book up in a bucket of kitty litter. Supposed to absorb the odors.
