Talking Herbel Healing

I just got me a now herbel book called civil war plants & herbs.there are a few good recipes for herbel healing here is a Mustard plaster

"to Make a Mustard Plaster"
Mix 1 tablespoon dry mustard with boiling water and flour enough to make a paste. Spread over half of a cloth, cover with the other half of the cloth. When removed, wash the skin with a soft sponge, and apply a little oil.

Heres one to stop vomiting
"drink very warm water, or, apply cloths wet with brand, warming with chest. Mustard-plasters are also excellent.

just to know that plants that grow around you in your yard, forest and feilds can heal you and make you feel better.
Thanks for checking out my post i hope to add more when i get the chance.

Ok i have been asked how to make creams out of Herbs so i am going to type in what i have listed in my herbel book hope this s!

A cream is a mixture of water with fats or oils, which softens and blends with the skin. It can be easily made using emulsifying ointment (available from most pharmacies), which is a mixture of oils and waxes that bleands with water. Homemade creams will last for several months, but the shelf-life is prolonged by storing the mixture in a place or refrigerator or adding a few drops of benzoin tincture as a preservative. Creams made from organic oils and fats deteriorate more quickly.

standard quantities
150 g emulsfying ointment
70 ml glycerine
80 ml water
30 g dried herb
Equipment
Glass bowl and saucepan or
double saucepan
Wooden spoon or spatula
Wine press
Jelly bag or muslin bag
Bowl
small palette knife
Small, airtight storage jars

1 Melt the fats and water in a bowl over a pan of boiling water or in a bouble saucepan, add the herb and heat gently for three hours.

2 fit a jelly bag around the rim of a wine press. Strain the mixture into a bowl. Stir constantly until .

3 usa a small palette knife to fill the storage jars. Put some cream around the edge of the jar first, and then fill the middle.

Red face

If you have a herbal place near you it is easyer to go and ask them for the creams there very ful and most of them have the stuff you need to make your own even.

Ointment's are much easher to make!
