ok... Brandon's not a real baby. (THANK THE LORD!) this has been wonderful for our son. He received Brandon yesterday . He got to go with his "daddy" to all of his classes. Then woke Chaz up every 40 mins last night!!! (Grandma didn't hear a thing...!!!) Chaz begged me to stay home this but I made him go to school. Chaz has baby Brandon for one more night... Poor kid flat out said that he's keeping his "peepee" to himself until he's married!
THose picture were taken tonight... after I wouldn't let Chaz take a nap!

He looks so happy with his little "son". My son gets to take care of an egg for 2 weeks starting tomorrow. I told him I'll run out and get a dozen.

You know Amy, whomever came up with that of having the students take a "baby" home and have to look after it and all, was a genius. This is a great way to make the younger people realize that a baby is here forever and needs the care, attention and love. It really teaches them a lot and I think will prevent a lot of youngsters having babies at such young ages too. This teaches them responsibility. Not so nice to be woke up every 40 minutes.

I wish they would intorduce that more over here in the UK - I think that it would have a positive affect on kids - to make them think twice at least!!

I remember when my kids had that assignment. It was hilarious to see my son take care of his "baby". Now he is 26 and says he is not ready to be dad yet. He still have nightmares of those days.

Chaz looks sooo thrilled, . I remember when my daughter had to do that, she was not happy. I told her to remember that!! I just love the way it wakes them up every little bit!! And they can't cheat either. I think EVERY student should have to do this. In our school it's only a certain class that does it so not everyone has to do it and I really think they should!! Thanks for sharing this with us.

jhczmom, good luck with the egg!! . You'll have to let us know how it goes. I can imagine you'll have some good stories.

I also think the schools should do the "marriage" thing where they give them certain jobs, problems etc that a couple has to work out. I could have fun with that one, .
