Last week my childrens step mamaw passed away. Ali who is 7 is having a very hard time, she wasen't allowed to go visit her in the hospital to say goodbye. Her step mother did not want Ali to see her Mamaw the way she was. the had stayed with her on thursday of the week before, on friday she was very , the family took her to the Dr, he sent her to the hospital for test, the found a mass in her lungs, she was bleeding, she begin to swell and go down hill on wed. she passed. Mamaw has been in their lives for 4 1/2 years.
Ali is still ing at night cause she didn't get to say goodbye. Any advice on what to tell her.
Her dad and step mom let her put a letter in the casket, they told her when mamaw got to heaven she could read it and always know Ali would love her. I also sent two roses to place in the casket from my children, Cameron said that ed him alot.

cindi this is very difficult to know what to tell her. I am so to hear of this lady's passing.

I think if it were me, I would try to explain to Ali that even though her mamaw didnt' get to hear her good bye, she knows she was there in spirit. Tell her that mamaw is with her every day, she is living in her heart now with her. She can talk to her mamaw anytime she wants to and know that mamaw will hear her. Someday she will see her again and until then she will be always with her watching over her.

Mamaw didnt' want Ali to be hurt over this and would be very sad if she knew she was ing so much now. She is in no more pain now, she is happy and is no longer . She is with Ali all the time even though she can't be seen.

Do you have anything there that belonged to mamaw that maybe you could give to Ali to keep with her at night to feel mamaw near her? maybe this would her too.
Gosh I really am at a loss here. I hope this s a little for you.
