My hubby's cousin is in West Penn Hospital in the burn unit with 3rd degree burns on 30% of his body. He was trying to start a fire and the lighter fluid he was holding exploded. His pants and shoes melted to him and he had to have surgery. Not sure how long he wll be there. He is 30 and has a long road ahead of him. Please keep George in your ers. That's all we can do for him at this point to him heal. Thank you all so much.
Amy

I just talked to George. He has had two surgeries already, with more to endure. He told me that before he put himself out, he rescued his dog and put out the fire in the house. I cannot imagine the pain that he is in. His meds have had to be changed since he is hallucinating either from them or the pain. Hubby went to see him today so I will know more later. Thank you for your ers. I wish that there was more that I could do for him.

I can't imagine the pain he is in either. I feel so bad for him and all burn victims. It has to be so very painful. Its a long road to recovery too but at least he is still with us. Prayers continuing for George.
Thanks for updating us Amy.
Wow George has been though so much and long way to go. Just be there for him if he is going to have a long hospital stay hes going to need outside stimulation keep him up tp date on things he would normally do maybe take him his favorite magazine, or movie if he has a laptop. Burn drs and nurses are very nice and know that he is in pain and will work to keep him comfortable till the pain is manageable for him. I will have him in my ers for a speedy recovery.
