Could just scream or cry or both

Things with Bobby (15) aren't going well. He REFUSES to take his pills. He in his "it's no point, oh what's the use, my life is worth living" mood again.

Since school restarted in January, he's gone a grand total of FOUR days. (the first four). The first three weeks he missed, he WAS ill. At first it was he flu, then he caught his brother's , and then an ear infection (he'd take pills for the infection - just not the ing, "wake up" or depression pills. He says "he doesn't need them"). He's flat out refusing to go to school now. As he's missed so much, he things "there's no point in going back". he has packets he COULD have been working on, but I think he's done ONE page.

Hubby took him to the psycholigist (sp) today and she said he needs to be evaluated by the hospital. It COULD be that he is admitted. Maybe it will be the BEST thing for him. If nothing else it will scare him enough so he will take his pills so he doesn't end up there again!

Like the subject lines, I don't where to scream or to . I've done both - all I get is a sore throat and red wet eyes. It's not ing.

Hendjam , I don't know all of your son's illness problems but it definitely sounds like you have your hands full. I'm to hear that. Maybe him going to the hospital would be good for all of you. Maybe a break from being the 'main' caretaker would give you the rest you need and maybe they can get through to him the importance of taking his medicine. I hope things get better for you. I will be ing for you. Hang in there and we are here for you anytime you need us, ok? God Bless!!

Hendjam,
I had to hospitalize my special needs son several years ago. I would encourage one thing if you do: Ask lots of questions to closely monitor what is being done to and for your son. They admitted my son and kept him for three weeks before testing him or starting any therapy! The bill was huge and I was . Whe I questioned the psychiatirst himself, and threatened to notify my insurance company that nothing had been done in three weeks time, my son was tested the next day, but never cheecked for a brain tumor as I requested. A year later, he almost died from an AVM which is similar to an aneurisym and it ruptured. I am not trying to discourage you, only telling you to be watchful of how long he is being kept and what is being done while he is there. The hospital I used was the subject of a huge insurance fraud investigation right around the same time I had my son there.
Just ask lots of questions.....as the parent you should know every step that is taken and be kept apprised of his condition.
