So, Sam's been taking steps in his gait trainer and we're totally excited about that! Well, on Friday, he brings home pictures from school of him RIDING AN ADAPTIVE BIKE! I am so amazed at this child. He so bad wants to be involved and active, he's finally making the connections. Not only that, but today at Sunday school, he took 18 steps with his aide! That was just holding on to her arm. We are ing for balance for him now! Now we have to work on the funds to get him another gait trainer and an adaptive bike for at home as well as at school. I'm working on it starting Monday. My girl are talking about doing a fund raiser. Woo Hoo!!!

I am so happy for you gretchen....these are the best moments a mom can ask for.
You go Sam! Soon your mother will have to chase you down the road.
Gretch, you must be up there on cloud 9 with Sam doing so well. I can just see the smile on your face and Sam's as well when he gets going. He is a determined person and will go places yet. Soon he will be able to race you to my house, him with the gait trainer and you with your bike. Wooo hooo way to go.
Let me know what I can do to you out also.
Thanks so much! You are all so sweet. I WILL remember you all.
Dee Dee- He'll probably get there before me!
Mrsmaatman_Sam has Cerebral Palsy due to some complications right before and during birth. He is a spastic quad. which means he is very tight in all four limbs. He is non-verbal but NOT non-vocal. He has low vision and his first loose h! He is one of the sweetest kids around and very determined. I'll try to attach a picture. He's just so stinkin' cute!
