crab/lobster bisque

I made the best bisque this week!!! It was so easy and wonderful!!! You could add crab, lobster or craw fish to it.

Melt one stick of butter and saute a small onion till they turn clear.
Add a can of Chicken broth.
Bring to boil.
Add 1 can cream corn and 1 can of regular corn.
Bring to a simmer and add one package of cream cheese. (16 oz)
Melt cream cheese and then add your seafood.
Let simmer for a few mins and it's done!

Very good with warm french bread!!!

This would sound extra yummy if you could tell me which would be the least fishy tasting as a bisque. I have had lobster and crab but not craw fish!

Thanks for sharing cuz this really does sound so simple and I have a friend that loves fish so I will definitely pass it along to her!

Cya Later!

The least fishy would be Lobster. I just made it with crab and it was not fishy either. My grandmother makes it with crawfish and it was not to fishy- crawfish has it's own flavor- I think- not a fishy one- don't know how to describe it.
I'm from Louisiana and crawfish are very popular down there.

Terrific recipe Marilyn! Being on a self imposed diet I think I can make this with low fat cream cheese and cut some calories and fat. I have made bisque using those imitation seafood things and it's just as good.

Does anyone know anything about bisque? I've heard of it, but don't know exactly what it is.

This sounds so good, but how do you serve it? Over noodles or something?
