Well we came home today. Not that we really wanted to leave the cottage but we had to come home. Oh well, next weekend we will go back up again.
Friday didn't start out very great for me. Thursday evening I went to grab something that was falling and I hit my baby finger on the corner of the organ. I didn't bend it, it just went straight back towards the elbow. Just like I pushed the bones and everything right back. Well it swelled right away and was sore but not that bad really. I went to bed at 1:30 am and was up at 3am. with so much pain I was almost in tears. I can take a lot of pain but this was so bad I thought I would go out of my mind. I tried to lay on the couch, no way, tried to go to bed, no way. I sat in the rocking chair in the dining room until hubby got up at 5:30. He took me to outpatients then came home so he would be here at 6 when the baby got here. Well after 4 hours, I called him to come get me. They did exray's, said I sprained my hand and they put a brace on it. Gave me some kind of pain pill and it was instant. I came home and went to bed and hubby looked after Aiden. I got up a few hours after and wasn't too bad.
I kept the brace on most of the weekend and took it off at times. Tonight I have if off so I can type but its starting to ache again so guess I better soon quit.
Then last night at the cottage, hubby decided he wanted another mattress on his bed. Well the one he put on was too narrow, he kept it there anyhow.

at 3am we were up taking it off and making the bed up again. I could have choked him, for not listening me to begin with. He said he should have because I am always right. I told him he wouldn't be comfortable because it was too small.

Was I right or not?
Anyhow, other than that it was a good weekend. We had our 12 year old grandson with us again and he

ed hubby a lot. He is a good kid. He will be coming next weekend with us again.

to hear you sprained your had,

that sounds very painful! I hope it heals soon. Try not to use it too much.

yes your hubby should have listened to you but sometimes they just have to learn the hard way like kids,

Thanks, my hand is still bothering me and its worse when I get on the computer.

Oh well, nothing will keep me off here.
I wear the brace for a while during the day but its really in the way when it comes to doing things. I can't crochet, come online, do my work etc. so I wear it for a while then take it off. I will survive though. I have been worse.

Yes this weekend will be much better I am sure. If it starts out the way the last one did, I will stay home.

We got good news tonight. My son and daughter in law have been looking for a house to rent. They gave their notice where they have been living in a small one bedroom apt. and had to be out Sept. 1st. Well they came over tonight and said they got the house they wanted. Its right around the corner from us and my other son. Its got two bedrooms, full basement, fenced in back yard, deck on front, garden and the guy is renovating it all now. They can take their pool there next year so I will have my back yard again. This winter the skidoos can go over there too. Yay, my yard is coming back to normal again.

They are so happy and so are we. With the new baby due December 5th they really needed a bigger place and they have room to make another bedroom. So all in all it turned out great.

Mickie, Summer is feeling much better

! She goes today for a final check up. My mom has a dr. appt. so the dr. said for her to just come in with mom and she would check to be sure that it is completely healed up. So she stayed at Mom's last night.

Thanks Polly. Sorry I completely forgot to ask how Summer is doing. I am glad she is better. Hope her final check up today was a good one.

Have loads of fun on your holiday. We have Aiden tomorrow, Friday and Saturday until 2:30 then we are headed to the cottage. My grandson isn't coming with us now. He came over today to let me know he is going with friend to the friend's grandmothers for a week. He sure is having a good summer with the travelling around he has been doing.

Anyhow, we sold our house trailer today We bought it 15 years ago and sold it today for $200 less than what we paid for it. Its done. The ceililngs inside are all collapsing, the mice have had a permanent home for a long time so we did okay. My cousin has a scrap metal yard and is going to re-do the whole trailer he said. I dont' care what he does with it, just glad to see it gone from the cottage. It was an eye sore. So all in all it turned out to be a great day today.

Oh and yes I got my package from Cyndi. Let's see, I got a book called Super Mom Saves the World. Mom's network magazine, a blank card I can send to someone, very nice too, a 60 sheet diary book, telephone and address book, some transparent soap that smells great, a little birthday gift bag, note cards and envelopes, so it was a very nice gift to receive. Did you get yours yet Polly?

Hi DeeDee, don't worry about asking about Summer, I think you had alot more on your mind or hand,

. Well, her appointment went pretty good. She still looks a little 'dull' in there but dr. said it would continue to heal, no more 'goopy' stuff as the dr. called it, and she should be completely ok, but will keep an eye on it. Bad news is, she still has a hole in her eardrum. I think when I get back I will contact the dr. to see if it is time to re-visit the specialist about possible surgery, it has been several years now since her surgery and it hasn't healed so we may need to do the second surgery. They said it may close on it's own but I guess it is not going to. She already had diminished hearing in that ear from the missing hearing bone so I want to make sure we take care of it the best we can so she doesn't lose more of her hearing. She has to be sure to put a cotton ball with vasaline on it when she

s and wear an earplug for swimming.

Sorry your grandson can not go with you. But sounds like he is going to have fun. Good for him.

Wow you will be gone over a week. What will we do without you?

Glad to hear Summer is fine now, yes it might be a good

to see the specialist again and have her ear tended to now. Hope they fix it soon.

Mickie, thanks my arm is much better now. Not perfect but better. Yes there has been good news coming my way lately. Hope it lasts.

Ladies, I am back and believe me no one is more glad to be back home than me. I had the most incredible month in Mexico. From the greeting at the airport to the good-bye. Let me put it this way, things were so bad I was threatened with divorce. My MIL is the most mean person I think I will ever meet. We were in Acapulco's airport and they greeted me like I was some kind of moron. The we went to the hotel. We settled and started going to the pool. They were just sitting there making rude comments. My MIL started saying the she should have let my husband marry his son's mother because, he would be in Mexico and not here in the US. Then she was bellyaching about me spending her son's money. She also started talking about how my kids did not look like her son's children because they were getting tanned, she said how gross was that. Her other grandson is so white he does look like her grandson. I did not say anything a woman looked at me in surprise. They used to take the keys in the evening and leave us outside of the hotel room. They came back in time to watch some soap opera they watched. This went on for three days. We finally got to go to my SIL house and she was still bellyaching about her son and not liking me. There was the mother of my SIL, DIL and she gave me her address and phone to stay there if I so wanted. We got to our destinationa dn this was not he end. She spoke to my husband and told him that they starved because, I did not feed them. We all ate together except at night when they took off. They would come back with bags of food to put in the small fridge and God forbid if my kids touched it. We ordered pizza as it was too late to go out to eat. My husband went ballistic and threatened with divorce. After that it was a nightmare weatherwise, it rained most of the time. I got rude comments and glares from his sisters. Except for one and one brother. His "father" does not talk to me at all. I was not feeding my kids right, I did not take care of them right.I was just the worse at everything and my husband's ex came up all the time. One day my husband called and spoke to me she was listening in the line and told her daughters I said nasty things about all of them, I never did. She was mad because, my husband was making me

.Anyway, it was horrible. The town called me the brave for going alone without my husband. When he goes everyone treats me so nice. The last thing she did was talk about my son, she said that it was so bad he had those problems, my son is bipolar and he takes medication but, she was glad that her son had another son that was perfect to take care of her son in his old age. My son felt so bad but, I told him not to pay mind. Well on a nice note my son graduated from the 8th grade, on Friday I was very proud and showed him too. Ladies, that was my summer nightmare.

Glad to see you back but so

to hear about your nightmare vacation. You know what they say, what goes around, comes around, well these people are in for a rude awakening one day. You are ten times the people they are for taking their rudeness and not saying anything to them. I know myself, I would not be able to shut my mouth. I would have told them in box car letters what I thought of them.

I think there must be some jealousy there. They know your hubby is happy with you and guess they were hoping otherwise so they made it as miserable for you as they could have. Well their day will come. They are very inconsiderate people as far as I am concerned and to bring kids into something they don't understand is completely wrong. They should have kept their thoughts to themselves but as I said, they are ignorant and inconsiderate people and you can't expect anything better than this from those type of people.

At least now you are home and can forget about the terrible time you had. Enjoy your life, be happy and forget about them.

By the way, did you pm Cyndi? You won in the contest she had when she re=opened the boards. I told her you would be gone until this month so if you have seen the posting I will try to find it and move it up for you.

Thank you Polly, this place is a safe haven for me. we are going to talk about this issue next month because, of my son's illness we have a family counselor and she feels is crucial that, my husband knows the truth about his family. She feels is not fair to me or the children. The outcome might not be

l but, what ever happens I have to tell him my side of things. This might cost me my marriage and if it does, it means that, our relationship was bad from the start. My kids come first and foremost. I will keep you all posted.

You are right, your kids come first but I know this is not an easy thing for you to go through. You and your kids should come first with your husband, it doesn't mean he can't still love his family, it just means he needs to understand they are not nice to you and the kids. I am very fortunate that my DH and I can both see the faults in our familys behaviors and agree on how to deal with it and still love our families and each others families. It wasn't always like this, we had to work at it but we do well now. I will continue to
