Well I agree, they should have had some kind of little ceremony or certificate or something for the kids. Its something to keep for when they are older.

Well we had a good day with the baby today. Didn't see them tonight, I guess its the other grandma's turn.

I am not sure how much I will be able to get on from tomorrow until Tuesday as my aunt is coming from out of town. I havent' seen her in over 30 years so want to spend as much time catching up as we can. I will try to get in. If not, have a great few days.

. Took her to the doctor today. I was afraid she had strep throat, but I guess it is a virus or possible the flu. We didn't have a very bad flu season around here this year and the dr. said they think it is hitting now but Summer had it at Easter time. Anyway, I will have to stay home with her again tomorrow and since I don't have

or personal days at work I called and asked if I could go get some work and bring it home to work on tomorrow, thankfully my bosses are fantastic people and they agreed. I just got home from getting the work and bringing it home. Now for some more 'good' news, I am afraid I am coming down with it too. I hope not but I have a very bad sore throat and head ache and that it how it starts and it gets alot worse from there. I am really hoping not since Summer still has practices and the play is thurs., fri. and sat. I think I am going to find a cave to crawl in, . Well, I am just going to pra y for

I missed 8 today and 3 last week so hopefully I can work 8 hours here tomorrow and then get back to work on weds. Ok, have to tell you this, Summer just ate a jello cup (first thing in two days) and now she is eating another one, good sign!! Of course she is taking phengran for nausea which stops the nausea and will make you hungry but this is a good sign!

ok, enough of that, Mickie my husband fishes in the river for trout. They were gone for hours on sat. When they (there were 4 of them fishing) got back I had just gotten back to camp with KFC so they had a nice meal to eat. The guy who camps next to us went with them and his dad showed up while he was gone so they ate with us too. Since they had walked many miles they were ready for something to eat so that worked out good.

DeeDee, hope you are having a good visit with your Aunt.

Patrick's last day of school isn't till next week, June 27. He has some kind of trip tomorrow and then a international feast on Thursday, which should be interesting.

Well My daughter graduated 8th grade on Friday and school ended yesterday so now we are free for the summer!!!!!!

Wow, I thought our schools went late into the year. yours is alot longer. Our schools got out June 8th and that was because they added a couple of days because of snow. When do you all start school? We usually start around the 25th of August, used to be after labor day but they backed it up a few years ago.

Thanks for the well wishes for my dd, she was doing a little better today, but she went to play practice tonight and is now feeling pretty rough. she has to stay at my moms tonight so I can go to work tomorrow, I hate her being away from me when she is

but don't really have a choice. She also has to be back at practice tomorrow night at 5:30 and I don't get off work until 5:00. It would take me at least half an hour to go get her and then take her to practice. I went in and explained to the teacher why Summer wasn't there last night and she said she should still come even if she just has to sit in the chairs and watch. I told her she could not stop throwing up and her dr. forbid her to go. I even had a dr.'s slip which she did not look at, just gave back to me. I told her Summer the flu and I didn't think she wanted her whole cast to come down with it.She has kicked people out of plays before for missing practice. That would not be a pretty picture if she did it because my dd was

. I can understand if they are just goofing off but this woman takes this way too seriously. I hate to tell Summer no more plays but I am getting tempted to do that. there will definitely not be anymore at the end of the year when there are no shuttle buses. It is too hard with me working in one direction from home and the school in another. I guess that's life when you live in a rural area. Oh well, enough whining. Hope everything is going good for everyone else. I managed to get 9 hours of work done at home today so at least I will not miss out on todays hours. Well, I am going to go for now, time to wind down and get to bed so I can get up at 5:40 and start again. UGH!

Helllllooooooo ladies. I am finally back after being missing for 4 days or so. My aunt left today and as for how far away she lives, its about 6 hours by air. We live in the Province of Ontario, she lives in the province of Alberta. So she is a ways away from us. It was soo nice seeing her again. We had a great time and I dont' think the day will come when she will be able to come back but it sure would be nice. She teared up when she left today and said she wished she could stay longer.

Since we live in a one bedroom home now, it was rough for

ing arrangements. The first night, hubby and I slept on the floor in our dining room on an air mattress. We gave up our bedroom to my aunt for the time she was here. Well by

the air had all come out and we were on the floor. We had a heck of a time getting up, our old bodies can't take this anymore.

So the next night we borrowed two mattresses from my grandson's bed. We used those for the next nights and slept much better. It will be nice to have my own bed tonight though.

Hubby went to bed early and I haven't heard any movement out of him yet.

I guess he is quite comfortable.

Now I just have to catch up on all I missed.

Summer was feeling pretty rough last night, I am hoping with some

I guess I could pull Summer from the play but she would be very disappointed. I guess the kid playing the Wiz was pulled from the play by his parents this weekend. So I am sure that has made things difficult. But if Summer gets too bad I will pull her. Her health is more important than a play.
thanks for hoping I don't get it. I felt like I was getting it earlier this week but my throat is feeling better right now so hopefully I am going to be able to resist it this time. Sure hope so. I have to work and then go to the play for three performances. That makes for some loooooooooong days,

Thanks Polly. Yes it sure was nice to have our bed back again. I slept like a baby and so did hubby.

He said he will never complain about the bed again. He used to say it was uncomfortable but now he knows different.

The grandkids will go back to school on September 4th this year. They do enjoy the summer holidays but do get bored after a while too. Some places in Canada don't have summer holidays, they go right through. I wouldn't like that.

thanks DeeDee, Summer is feeling some better, if we can just get that throat healed up. It is still very sore and I think singing so much in the play is going to keep it from healing. I just hope she doesn't end up having a relapse.

Yes the kids do get bored but I am like you I wouldn't like it if they went year round. I don't understand why any school district would do that. I just don't understand the reasoning behind it or maybe I should say I don't know the reasoning. Our kids usually go back around the 25th of August now. Polly, I sure hope you and summer are all better today. I to can't stand whem the kids have to go back to school. My daughter goes until next Thurs. and the boys last day was the 15th. DeeDee, I'm glad your back, and had a nice visit. WOW your aunt must have been exhausted from that 6 hour plane ride. I'm sure you all had a wonderful visit after not seeing each other for so long.
