Good to see you Polly. On the weekend if you don't have to work, you should try taking the cough syrup through the day and then seeing if it makes you tired at night. It could have having a lasting effect on you or something like you say.

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been in for a few days. Just been busy I guess. Well I found out it wasn't the cough syrup making me tired because I have not been taking it (for fear it was causing me to be tired) and I am still having days like that sooooooo I think it is probably just my body still trying to heal. I am still coughing , ugh! And this a.m. I woke up and my ear is swolen on the outside and inside and there is a lump on the outside which I believe is just fluid since when I push on it , it feels like I am pushing something up into my ear. But I have meds here and hopefully it will be fine in a day or two. It is only a little sore so no great pain. I have good news. My daughter has decided to move back in with us and NOT take the money from the loan. Since she already has the check but it takes 5 days before she can use the money she will have to contact them and see about paying it back. There will probably be a small fee but this will still be a lot cheaper than trying to pay back all that money. There was an article in the paper the other day about the interest rates. I had her read it last night and we talked to her about it and told her she could still move back in and wait until she graduates college to move out on her own. We did not pressure her, it was completley her decision and we told her we would not be mad if she decided to continue with her plans. But yay, she decided to come home!! She also got rear ended at a traffic light yesterday

er. We are going to get in touch with the girl and see if she wants to just pay for it so her insurance won't go up. The girl already contacted her insurance company because when we got home there was a message on the machine from her insurance company. The girl took complete blame. It was just an accident but it's so nice to see honest kids. (she is around my dd's age). I hate to see her insurance rates go up. Anyway, I really just wanted to share the good news about Skye moving home. She even stayed her last night!! I think I finally slept good for the first time in weeks. I will be going away for the weekend, leaving thurs. night. Going to camp. Yay! Hugs to all!

Nice to see you back. Sorry to hear you are still not feeling the greatest but I do hope you are back to yourself real soon.

Fantastic news about Skye moving back home. I am happy to hear that. Sometimes it just takes a little time for things to sink into the heads.

Sorry to hear she got rear ended but am glad she is okay. That was nice of the girl to take the full blame which she should have but too bad about her insurance going up. They pay enough as it is now.

Hope you have a great weekend. Hubby leaves on Sunday for hunting so I will be alone for a bit. I love it. Gives me time to do whatever I want to do.

Update on my lovely world. As I said before, I woke up with the ear problem. Well it continued to get worse. I ended up finally going to ER on sat. night. Of course it is swimmers ear as I thought. Gave me different meds. Pain is better but still swollen and plugged up but not as swollen so hopefully meds are working. We went to camp thurs. night. In the middle of the night I woke up in bad pain, got up to take meds and had a very scarey experience. I felt like I was going to pass out so I layed down on the couch. The feeling got worse and then I felt like I was going to be

. I got up to get the garbage can and it felt like someone poured hot liquid down over my head into my chest and arms, everything went black and my muscles got very weak, like mush. Then I threw up. It was VERY scarey. I am sure it was due to my ear but I honestly thought I was going to die. I had an experience like this before but not as severe. Anyway that is over.

Sorry about Skye not moving back with you like she said. I hope things change there too.

Hubby left for hunting on Monday and came home today, they got a moose. So he stayed for a while then they left to go back for a few more days. Okay with me.

Tomorrow I want to get my hair done.
Tomorrow my son is suppposed to be home from hunting way up north. He got his moose too. It takes them 3 days to get home and this is the last year they are going so far away. There is about 7 of them that go each year but I worry the whole time. The roads are bad up that way, of course being a mother, you worry all the time anyhow. So glad he is on the way home anyhow.

Yes I am still healing fine thanks. My leg was bothering me last night but not sure why. I think I was walking too much. I also did

Summer and I went to my

daughters wedding yesterday and then to the reception. They actually got me up to

. It was alot of fun. Summer had a really good time. We didn't get home until almost 8 pm.

Today we went and looked at some more houses that are for sale. Didn't find anything we wanted in our price range. Then we came home and I took a little nap and then Summer and I went grocery

for the week. Boy did this weekend fly by. Sometimes I wish I didn't work. or at least only part time but the money is nice,

Skye is still out on her own, and I think it is hitting me more each day but I have to accept it since I can't change it. She is at a new job since at the internship she they have some funny rules about working so long and then you have to be away from the job for 3 months and they can hire you back. She is working at Lowes and doing well but the cement floor is really hurting her feet, legs and back. Oh well, at least she has a job.

Glad you had fun at the wedding. They always are nice to attend. We were invited to hubby's cousins wedding this past weekend but didn't go. It was out of town and I didn't feel like going anyhow. Not just yet. I can't

I did enjoy my 6 days with hubby gone but also got very bored. I didn't feel like going out anywhere, didn't feel like croceting but did a bit. Crazy huh? I like my time to myself but this time was different for some reason. Oh well, hubby is home now, with the moose. They did get one and my son is home from his trip too and he got his moose too. We will have lots of meat this winter.

Hi DeeDee, maybe it wasn't the same this year since you still aren't 100 percent healed and didn't feel like doing much. Sorry you got bored. I'm glad they got their mooses?? What do you call more than one?

Anyway that is good that they got them and are home safely.

Skye came over and stayed last night. She isn't feeling good and I saw her Monday and told her to just come home and stay a night and she would remember why she wants to be out on her own but she's got a little virus and got babied so maybe she won't want to go back to her place,

. I made her up a little 'care' package with food and meds to take home with her. I think she is very home

too.

I got to see the house she is living in. It is pretty much what you would expect for college students,

. Not bad, just needs some work. I was comforted when I saw an old lady across the street with a cane in one hand and a broom in the other outside sweeping off her walkway. It must be pretty safe. Skye said that most of her neighbors are older.

Well, now for the health update on me, this is getting ridiculous. I now have hand, foot and mouth disease!! Again!! This makes about 20 times in the last 5 years or so. UGH!! Also, I am beginning to think I just may be starting to go through the change of life OR having some other female problems, just not sure whether or not to go to the dr. I have had my period for 2 weeks now and 3 days before it started I had it for a few days and I can't remember if I had it the month before!! It's not heavy so I don't think I am in any danger healthwise but when do you go to the dr. for something like this? Any advice from my sisters would be greatly appreciated. I know a friend of mine went through something similar and it was cysts in her uterus. If that is what I have I want EVERYTHING removed, not just the cysts!!

And I have still not gotten over that bronchitis completley although it is now just a cough (still some stuff coming up but not bad) AND my ear keeps hurting!!! I do feel better, just not done with symptoms!

Ok, before I quit whining, I have a question. Does anyone get severe back pain and swelling (lower back) when it is that time of the month? Is it normal? The same friend I was talking about had the same problem. Wonder if it's all connected or what???????????? So confused here.

Ok enough, if anyone has any experience or knows of others or has any advice, I would appreciate it.

Yes it could have been because I wasnt' completely healed and that is why I was so bored. Oh well soon hubby will be gone again for deer this time so we will see how bored I get now. I am healed pretty good. The doctor discharged me yesterday, dont' have to see him again unless its something I am worried about or something and the nurse's last day is Friday. you are having so many problems. I would see the doctor. It very well be the start of the change but just to be sure you should talk to your doctor about things that are going on with you.
I sure hope you feel better soon. As for back problems, I have that very bad but cant' tell you about that time of the month, I haven't had that since 1982. I don't remember what it was like for me.

Hope Skye is feeling better soon too. Glad you feel better about her surroundings now too since you saw her neighbor.

Polly do go to the doctor

, we as women do not give importance to what happens to our bodies until is too late. One thing I tell you is this we take the kids to the doctor if anythin is wrong, we take hubby when he is not feeling well, hell we even take the dog to the vet. We never do for ourselves. Not good. Whatever is wrong he can take care of it. Don't take second guesses with your health, is not good for you and for yours. I am telling you this fom experience, my problem was the same but, thank God I went to the doctor and it was take care of. Now I have pneumonia. I have to be extra careful with the diabetes and all but, I am

Hey there! Just thought I would finally pop in and say hello. Right now everyone seems to be healed up. Let's hope it lasts for a while. Thank you both for your support. I know I should go get checked but will probably put it off until it is time for my physical and then I am going to see about going to a gyno. instead of just my family dr. I still have a cough from when I had the bronchitis but it is probably because of smoking.

DeeDee, I am glad you are cleared from your dr. You just keep taking it easy don't over do it!

Well, I hope you are all still doing good. Hopefully I will get in a little faster next time.

Luz, so nice to see you again. You are absolutely right. We never do take care of ourselves. Its the motherly instinct in us to look after everyone else but we tend to forget ourselves which is not a good thing. We have to start and the time is now.

Polly glad to hear everyone is healed up for now. Its still time to look after yourself though as Luz says. Don't keep putting things off, do it now or it never gets done.
