Hey Marilyn! I didn't know you were born in Lafayette. I lived there for a bit with Dh (before we were married). He played for the Louisiana Ice Gators hockey team there. We weren't there long, though.

I only lived there when I was born till I was in 3rd grade.
I can not go back and stay very long though. To small of a town for me. I like the big, fast, busy city.
It was ok, we were only there for a bit...maybe a month before he was traded. We went from there to Bakersfield, CA. There were a few restaurants that we LOVED (cajun), but I can't remember the names of any of them. :o
I tried to go to this link, kaliannah, but I can't get it. I don't have a computer at home, just here at work. Our company "restricts" some sites, and for some reason this one was restricted.
Thanks for the ebook of recipes!!! I absolutely love spicy foods and make many cajun myself!! My kids' dad had a cajun friend whom he got a lot of recipes from!
Marilyn, I really can't remember. :o The team was given these cards to use for meals at certain places and we could "spend" so much per month. The one that was our favorite, was pretty pricey. When he got the news he was traded, we went and used up everything on the card...drinks, appetizers, dinner, dessert...I don't remember how much we ran up our tab, but it was sooooo good. I'll ask DH if he remembers, but don't count on it...he can't remember where his keys are everyday.
