Bullys at school

I need some . My 10 year old son is being picked on by an older schoolmate. On the playground, this kid will either tackle my son or put the wrestle moves he knows on him to him to the ground. One teacher saw this and put the other kid "against the wall" for a week. This was 2 weeks ago. The other night, my son came home with bruises on his arms from this kid. He was back on the playground again. We talked to the principal and he has decided to keep this kid in at recess for an indefinate period of time until he feels that the kid can behave. Now I am really concerned about what will happen when he is back on the playground with my son. Does anybody have any advice about dealing with this bully???

Wow! I'll be ing for you and your son.

Does your son know why? Like did he say anything to the other kid? What came to my mind is what about when they are walking home, or not on recess. I'd be afraid for my son all the time now.

No, we just moved to this district this summer so he is the new kid and this has been happening since day one. But, my husband is in law enforcement and is going to teach him defense moves as a last resort. We are trying various things first.

Good Luck!!

It's too bad that now days there is a lot of parents out there that just don't care what their kids do anymore. Too many of them (kids) today aren't brought up with any kind of respect for anything!

I think you are handling it well. As long as the school s to create a safe environment for your child, I feel like they are doing their part too. I don't know what I'd do in that situation if the school wasn't cooperative. I hope they keep trying to keep your child safe.
