I hope everything goes well. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have a kindergartener too. It's kind of scary because this whole school thing is new to me, so I can imagine how you feel.

He's been in a special pre-school for the last two years, they have ed him with a speech delay and some muscle weakness. plus flat feet (it runs in the family).
Now he's somewhere that is much larger, on a bus with 29 kids, all diffrent ages, that doesn't bother me and he loves it.
I guess i'll find out the 'problem' tomorrow, sigh

I have flat feet too. And as long as he loves it and is thriving you should be happy for him. (that's not how I want to say it, but I'm at a loss for words)

Angelkatey, try not to worry about it too much. If your son seems to love it and has not said anything negative to you then I am willing to bet it is not about his behavior. Perhaps the teacher has seen something in him that she thinks you can with or advise her on to better teach him. Good luck!

katey -- been there, done that myself. I remember when my son was in kindergarten ... I was usually getting calls about his being disruptive "yet he is bright and very capable." I just love hearing stuff like that LOL. The best thing to remember is to keep calm Keep us posted.
I had to meet with all my kids teachers last week..... I'm use to it now tho. Every year about this time we have a meeting with teachers to see how they r doing and what areas we need to the girls with. Since both my older girls made honor roll teachers say just keep up what we have been doing which is only making them sit and do homework correctly the first time. As for my youngest girl she's also in kindergarten and her only problem is learning to stay in her seat.... She hates to sit still for more than a few minutes at a time. She is getting better tho. She also dosen't want to say her numbers for the teacher. She will do it for me but tells the teacher she can't do it. She's sometimes a bit shy in front of the cl*** but again she's improving lots.
It was actully a great meeting, it turns out the day after the teacher wrote the note, Patrick started behaving correctly, it was funny.
But it was great going there and talking to the teachers, knowing that he's going great in school and finding out ways we can him out
Now he'll be getting OT and PT twice a week, can only more, i think, the OT with her muscle weakness and the PT with his legs, same muscle weakness, at least point, it can only

Hi everyone!! I'm Darlene. Glad the meeting with your son's teacher went well. We saw our daughter's teacher this past week. She is in 2nd grade, working at a 3rd grade level. Her reading is almost 4th grade. Her math level is halfway through 3rd grade. The only thing she really needs with right now is learning her multiplication tables and telling time. We have a 6th grader also. We go to his school this week, I believe. This conference is student led though, which means that he will be telling us how he is doing in school and what he has been doing. This is a first for us, so I'm anxious to see how it goes. The teacher will be there, but just to ***ist if they need it. Its all up to the students to do the talking.
That's wonderful Angel!!!! I bet there's a HUGE weight off your shoulders now
Indygirl -- that's quite an interesting way to conduct a meeting but I sure do like the (the kids doing the talking) -- it'd be very interested to see how my son would rate himself My son is a 5th grader this year and is doing very well and we're very proud of him. Glad to hear your kids are doing so well Indygirl AND AngelKatey.
