Sleeping...

I have a 3 year old that wasn't a good er (and still isn't...at least in her own bed) so I am trying really hard with my new baby to get her in a pattern early. However, she does not like ing in her bed. I put her in her car seat and she will for hours during the day. Once 9pm hits she will nurse for 3-5 hours straight with maybe a 30 min break total! Once I lay her down she is right back up so I end up falling a with her in my arms. I don't let her go more than 2 hours during the day with out eating and she seems satisfied. Very happy baby just likes to be held at night...any suggestions?

Thank you!!

Hi Amy
I don't know what to tell you. I never had problems like that with my kids. They went into the crib and that was it. My niece had a problem with her daughter but its because she used to put her in bed with her and her hubby and once she got older she refused to go in her own bed. She is school age now and does have her own bed but it wasnt' fun for a lot of years for them.

As for nursing for 3=5 hours with only a half hour break, are you not afraid of drying up? She will use up all your milk and you won't be able to nurse for much longer maybe.

When you lay your daughter down, does she or what? If she just cries, and isn't wet or hungry, let her . She will learn its bedtime and will fall a. It doesn't hurt to let a baby for a bit. Its harder on us than it is them.

Sorry I am not much but maybe the younger mothers will have better advice for you.
