The mother searched the internet for days on end and after about a month of searching she finally found a contract position with a company that offered hourly pay. She hurried in to her boss the next day asking for a telecommute option. When the answer was no, she put in her resignation and within 2 weeks she was finally working from home. *JOY* She was home all day playing with the children, there whenever her husband needed her and ................. WAIT............no she wasn't. She was still working almost 8 hours per day only it was now more challenging because the children and her husband constantly needed something. Instead of dinner she was now making breakfast and lunches also and trying to find time to work in between household chores. She found herself completely stressed with the new transition so she............................................... ..............

Red face Hello

Decided to stick with it. The stress worsened. She couldn't handle it all on her own, but for the love of her family she pressed on. One night she had a heart to heart with her husband and asked him to out at least with the meals. He tried to rebel by claiming he was no cook, and didn't have any intentions of starting. She was completely taken back and said?????

You have the times, so I need you to out. There are several cookbooks on the shelf over the microwave. And if you can't manage that then I guess I'll be ing on the couch tonight by myself!" With that she slammed the door and went back to work. knowing full well that her husband was competent enough to make something for dinner. Five minutes later she heard pots and pans and her husband grumbled to himself...............

Smile Hello........

Cooking continued, and an odd smell filled the house. The grumbling and complaining went on for what seemed like hours. Finally dinner was served! Walking past the dinner table she saw the table set with paper plates, and plastic silver ware. There was a loaf of white bread on the table, and a tub of margarine! What kind of meal did he make she wondered?????????

Wink

He wouldn't say a word. The kids were all dressed nice and stry quiet. Moments later my mother knocked at the door. She hustled past me with a large odd-looking bag. I caught a waft of a very pleasant smell as she waltzed by in a hurried fashion.

She rushed back into the living room and ushered the kids out of the house and into her car.

My husband told me to go freshen up, (whatever that means).

Next thing I know I am eating something exquisite that my mother had picked up at our favorite restaurant, and my husband is telling me that he is overwhelmed and that he cannot do the cooking as well as I can. That I make everything look so easy, but that he appreciates how much I really do and maybe we don't really need the extra income from a job for me. He said that my livelihood as a mother, wife, caretaker, and do-it-aller is worth more exponentially to him than having me work.

I about fell over...

And upon hitting the floor I awoke suddenly..........
Of course it had been a dream. I was still in my room alone, and my husband was still downstairs making who knows what for dinner because the smell was unidentifiable. Not wanting to go down yet, I flipped on the t.v. and began to watch the news. At about quarter past the lotto picks came on. I thought nothing when the first numbers reminded me of my kids birthdays. But as they continued to announce the numbers I felt a little numb. Slowly I reached over and grabbed my purse. Pulling out the lottery ticket i had purchased that I was afraid to look. But there they were...........the numbers on my ticket looking oddly like the ones on my t.v. screen.............................
