Thumbs down "The Barbie Diaries"

This is an awful movie for children! It sends a horrible message and portrays an unrealistic image of high school to children. Plus, parental/adult gui is non-existent.

I cannot believe I rented this movie for my children. The Barbie brand has definitely sunk. I liked the music though. It had good songs.

I hope I can find more good, smart movies like "Fly Away Home," "Kiki's Delivery Service," and "A Little Princess" to show my children.

With not having kids at home anymore, I have not seen this movie. Today its hard to find a good movie for kids. So sad really.

There is an awful lot of direct to video/sequels from Disney and Barbies that do not have many redeeming qualities. :(

I thought Disney's "High school musical" and "Cheetah Girls 2" were well done though. Those are fun for the whole family and will get you singing along!

Cheers!!

Well at least they have some good ones for family enjoyment. Its so sad today, movies on television, even cartoons sometimes are getting out of hand. Why can't things go back to the way they used to be? There would be so much more happiness in this world.
