Yesterday my children and I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is very nice. The special effects are great. They have changed a couple of the things from the original but, it is just as good.My kids loved it and I mean three of them my 28 year old went to see it with my granddaughter and she loved it too.

Thats good to know one of my triplets chose it for his birthday gift my husband is going to take him on there birthday on the 9th of aug. we gave him a choice get a gift or go see the movie hes a a big fan of the org. movie and has read the book many times so he cant wait to see the movie. we just didnt want to go right when it opened with a thousand others.

Any other previews? I don't mind Johnny Depp, but....I'm always leary at a movie that's been remade.

First I love Johnny Depp!

I was told that this move it not a remake but I different twist to a classic. I was really excited to see it.


I thought the movie was ok.. didn't really care for the music though. Johnny Depp did a great job and so did Freddie Highmore. I didn't know that Annasophia Robb (Opal- Because of Winndixie) was in the movie.

So all in all - it will never stand up to the original. I just didn't think it was as funny as I thought it would be. It was kinda dry- (normally I find dry humor funny). It did have a great moral to the story though and I did feel a spiritual connection to the movie.

Danielle and her friend Shaina thought it was ok also (both are 12)
