My husband wanted to rent it because it had Hot 13 year olds with tongue piercings. Is there a little more depth to it than that???? My husband is pretty shallow.

In my opinion it has alot of depth, most of the girls in my family went through the problems addressed in the movie though, so I can relate to it better than some people. There are some inappropriate moments in the film, certainly not a child's movie.
A single Mom is trying to raise two kids and her daughter gets drug into a world of drugs, stealing and sex to fit in with the "popular" crowd.

That's pretty much what I expected. I would like to see the movie. I think it is hard, yet wonderful, to see all aspects of life, it gives you a better appreciation for what you have or had in your life. It also opens your eyes to what your children may encounter in the future and remind you that, as horrible as it is to swallow, this is far from a perfect world.
