Well I just have to brag that today my hubby and I are celebrating our 28th Wedding Anniversary. This is his first marriage and my second. He was a confirmed bachelor when I met him, (or so his family said). Well the day we got married, right there in the church after he said "I Do" my sister in law stood right up and said out loud, "Now I beleive it." Everyone ed.
We have had our good times and bad as everyone does and we came through it all together. That is the secret to a good marriage. You have to stick together no matter what. We have done that and I can say honestly we are as happy together today as we were 28 years ago when we exchanged vows. I wouldn't trade this man for all the money and gold in the world. He is my best friend, and I just hope we can have at least another 30 years together. (Don't forget we are both in our 50's now so time is going by fast.)
We had supper out tonight and it was nice. Other than that, we saw two of our sons today and then came home and spent the day together. Now he is gone to bed.
Congratulations DeeDee! I'm sure you will have those 30 more!! I'm invey of you! LOL I hope you had a good day. It sounds like you did! Happy Anniversary!!!
Happy 28th thats really ! My husband & I just celebrated our 18th

Share love and it grows; share sorrow and it lessens.
You won't be happy with more until you're happy with what you've got.
I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet simple things of life which are the real ones after all.
Congrats DeeDee!!! I am so happy for you. Sounds like a wonderful relationship!! And you are so right that you have to keep working at it when things get tough, I was telling my oldest DD that last night. I know some situations you just have to get out of but some you just need to work through. I am so very happy for you. Sorry I was late getting the good wishes to you. But better late than never, huh ? , Polly

Polly, you are so right. Some situations you just have to get out of for sure. That is why my first marriage only lasted 4 years. I just got tired of the beatings and the mental abuse.
I married the right guy this time around though. I waited for 7 years after my divorce to find him though. Took my time so I wouldnt' get into another situation like before and my choice was the perfect one. He is my soul mate.
We have had rough times, mainly money problems but as we both said, what good does it do to leave and the other person is left with the problems. We both got into it, we both get out of it together and we have. I am very happy and always will be.
