Our local news has a photo contest each day and you win a mug. This , a photo I sent in on the weekend was chosen as the winner.
I am pretty happy because I love photography but this is the first time I have ever shown my photos outside of our family. It was a photo of the sunshine finally breaking through at sunset on Saturday after almost two weeks of rainy days. The light came through the trees and over my fence in such a way that it cause a spread of light rays and I was ready with my digital camera.
So I guess I just felt like a bit of braggin. It feels good!
Thanks! It made me feel great until I just got a ticket (the first of my life.) I wasn't speeding, just hadn't gotten into the left lane before the arrow in a construction zone.
Please do not let that ruin your accomplishment earlier

Congratulations on winning the contest. Sounds like it was a nice photo. about the ticket though. I got a speeding ticket once, but yes, I was speeding. My niece was behind me doing the same speed as I was and she drove by ing at me.
I guess the cop liked the looks of my car or something. The ticket cost me $95.00 right on Easter Sunday coming home from visiting my father in law in the hospital. This was way back in 1992, haven't got one since. (fingers crossed. )

Sorry you got a speeding ticket its worse that someone else was right behind you doing the same speed.
We all get in trouble in one way or the other when driving sometimes
