Tips to cut the fat when cooking

Cut back on the amount of Cheddar cheese a recipe calls for, and add a bit of lower-fat Parmesan cheese for flavor.

Remove the skin from en, it reduces the fat substantially.

When possible, substitute beans for red meat in a recipe.

Prepare mashed potatoes with low-fat en broth instead of cream and butter.

Choose Canadian Bacon instead of regular strip bacon.

Thumbs up Good Tips I.M.13

I also rinse my ground beef through a colander when using it in a casserole. Just add a little more spices to meat after rinsing.

I also do the trick of fixing the pot roast and then refrigerate till the next day and have the fat that s on top can be pulled right out! Then you just reheat with alot less fat in your dish!!!!!!!
