Simple Popovers (lighter recipe)

Makes: 6

Light and airy, these popovers contain only 1 gram of fat each! Even better, this four-ingredient recipe goes together in only 10 minutes.

1 egg
2 egg whites
1 cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1 cup fat-free (skim) milk
1/2 teaspoon salt

1. Heat oven to 450ºF. S 6-cup popover pan or six 6-ounce custard cups with cooking s.

2. Place all ingredients in blender in order listed. Cover and blend on medium speed about 15 seconds, stopping blender to scrape sides if necessary, just until smooth. Fill cups about 1/2 full.

3. Bake 20 minutes.

4. Reduce oven temperature to 350ºF. Bake about 20 minutes longer or until deep golden brown. Immediately remove from cups. Serve hot.
