Summer Kid Recipes

Banana Crush
10 bananas, pureed in blender
4 cups sugar
12 ounces frozen lemonade
46 ounces pineapple juice
24 ounces orange juice, frozen
196 ounces (7 28-oz bottles) 7-Up or other lemon lime soda
6 cups water Dissolve sugar in water. Add orange juice and lemonade. Blend bananas and pineapple juice. Freeze in plastic containers. Remove from freezer 1-1/2 hour before serving and add 7-Up.




Peanut Butter Rice Krispies


2/3 cup condensed milk
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar. packed
4 cups rice krispies Cook first 4 ingredients in sauce pan until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add rice krispies and stir to coat. Pack into greased 9x9 inch pan. Cool.
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 tbsp. peanut butter Melt in saucepan over low heat and spread over bars. Cut into squares.


Slush Punch

2 cups sugar
2 cups hot water
1 1/2 3oz packages raspberry jello
4 1/2 cups hot water
46 oz pineapple juice
1 1/2 6oz cans frozen lemon-lime juice
1 qt 7-up Dissolve sugar in 2 cups hot water. Set aside. Add jello to next hot water and dissolve. Add sugar to jello. Add juices. Freeze overnight. Thaw partially, add 7-up to gl*** with slush

note: this also makes a nice spring or summer party punch.
I have used it at several wedding and baby showers.


Fruit Slurpie

1/2 cup orange juice
1 large banana
1/2 can peaches canned in juice (drained)
1 cup whole frozen strawberries (not frozen in syrup)
1/2 cup pineapple canned in juice (drained) Blend on high in blender until smooth.



Watermelon Popsicles


1 cup seedless watermelon chunks
1 cup orange juice
1 cup water
popsicle sticks and cups Blend these ingredients into a blender, pour into molds, insert sticks, and freeze.


Summertime Slush

3 oz pkg. red fruit flavored gelatin
1 cup boiling water
3 cups water
2 cups
cranberry cocktail
12 oz can each lemonade, orange juice frozen concentrate, thawed
lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage, chilled In small bowl dissolve gelatin in boiling water. In non-metal freezer container, combine dissolved gelatin with remaining ingredients except carbonated beverage; cover. Freeze until slush consistenc (about 8 hours). One half slush to one half carbinated beverage.

These sound great lokismom!!

Peanut butter rice krispie treats are one of my personal favorites to make with the kids. But I use melted marshmallows instead of condensed milk,sugar,&syrup.
