Well I don't usually make resolutions at New Years but I am going to try again to quit smoking. I did it twice now, first time for 4 months, last time for 8. This time I am going to beat it.
I am going to work the business harder this year and really get my team hopping.
I also am going to do more walking this year too.
That is about it. If I can do all this, I have done well.
I started a change the beginning of last year and i'm going to keep going with it
I've lost 56 pounds so far in a year, so here's hoping for more
huggles
Marie

This is what the Lord asks of you; only this, to act justly, to love tenderly and walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
He said to me, "My grace is enough for you, for in weakness power reaches perfection" 2 Cor 12:9
Well, I made a resolution years ago to never make another one so I'm not disappointed with myself when I fail. But.............I made a comment the other day to go on a diet after the holidays and my husband is all gung ho for us both to do it. It is easier for him since he loves fruit and can substitute it for other foods. I don't like fruit or many veggies. Also he always eats oatmeal for breakfast. I am very picky and would love to find something healthy but easy since I don't like to spend alot of time cooking for me. Anyh stategies or tips would be greatly appreciated. and remember I am a very picky eater, .
Good for you DeeDee. I too need to kick the smoking habit. Did it for six months one time and about 3 months another time but never got over the craving or the anger that I could not smoke. How is that for honest??? I was !!!!
I wish everyone else luck with all they decide to do or not do. Hugs.

Yes, I normallly do fail. I don't have alot of will power I guess. I didn't know they were calling today that but I am not surprised. I'm glad I don't drink either. That is the last thing I need to deal with right now..

i did not mean that you are a faller. i think that you are a very strong person in your own right and that if you put your mind to somthing you will acomplish it with flying colors.you are a very sweet person and i am glad that i have gotten the chance to speack with you. i really hope that you had a great new year.
Polly how about granola bars or something like that? They are pretty good. If you are not big on fruit or veggies, I am not sure what to tell you. I have to think about that one.
Well one resolution is out the window already. I smoked all day today. So tomorrow I start new again. I am going to quit one way or another. I just have to get hubby into a better mood. I think he is in the change of life, he changes his moods so quick lately.
DeeDee,
this one is really had to break. if you keep busy and have somthing like a pencile or straw ect in your hand than it will be easer. i quit smokking 4 years ago but i did this turky. i cant use the patch because it containes latex and i have a sever reaction to latex.
Yes Tamara I know how difficult it is to break this habit. I have tried twice before but will give it another try again until I beat it.
I find if I keep myself busy it doesnt' bother me. If I go somewhere there is no smoking allowed it doesnt' bother me either. So maybe I should just go to those places and stay there for a while.
Dearest DeeDee,
I.....ok you are a strong women. yes, this is a hard thing to break.
you can do this. i am suporting you 100% on this one. if you just limet the places that you go to. to nonsmoking places it is easyer. all my smokes and i would be around them . this made me crave it more. if you have a craving instead of litting one up eat some carrits sticks or fruit. its just replacing one thing for another. that ed me. also: when i first started to quite smoking i made a list of things that i could do with all the mony that i would save when i quit. i figured that i smoked 1 1/2 pks a day.x this by how much you spend in a week. and then you can see how much you spend in a month. i was in total after i did this.
with the $ we saved we got a new roof put on the house.i also made a list of gols for myself to remind me why i was doing this and hung it on the fridge to remind me when i had a craving. i really hope this will you. you have my suport if you need me just ask.
1. Eat more Godiva chocolate.
2. Drink more Nestle's chocolate milk.
3. Make more chocolate chip s for my
4. Visit the Lindt Chocolate Store once every other month
5. Buy more chocolate whip cream to spread on my favorite dessert (my hubby!)
6. Have at least one bag of M&M's every week.
I think those six will do it.

Don't borrow sorrow from tomorrow!
Tamara, don't worry I know you weren't saying I'm a failure, I was saying that I am ,. I used to have alot more self control than I do now. Although I think I could stick to Lulu's resolutions, .
DeeDee, I admire you for your determination to quit smoking. I soooo need to do this too but I guess inside I am not ready yet. I hope I will get resolved to do so soon though. I wish you the best of luck with this. Tamara those are good tips and I hope they you too DeeDee. Personally I am afraid to toatl up what I spend on these stupid things. I had hoped working two jobs would me cut down and I guess some days it does but other days, welllllllllllllll, NOT. .
I hope to lose at least a few pounds, my jeans are too tight, . Although I am beginning to think that my DD's shrunk one pair since they are alot tighter than the others. .
Well,my main resolution is to continue to get in here and visit with my firends as often as I can!!!
