I'm new to the momzone, but not new to forum posting. It's been quite awhile since I participated in a forum, so bear with me.
I'm a 50 year old (younger of the olders) woman who happens to also be a wife, mother and grandma. I'm disabled, so I guess that qualifies me as a SAHM
I believe in Love and Laughter to get me through my worst days. I AM a survivor !!! I'm also a hopeless fool with it comes to children and those who are unable to stand up for themselves.
I hope to get to know the site and members soon. Lolo
Lolo glad to meet you through the MomZone boards. Also glad to see that I'm not alone in being posted as a newbie < smile.>
Seeing newbie posted next to my username kind of makes me feel like I live in Canada ... even though the spelling is different by one letter newfie LOL
I am 40 years young , my husband & I have been together & married for 17 years. Between us we have 4 wonderful children.
Ages 26,24,22 & 8 years of age. Three boys, One girl.
My husband wanted to get a computer years ago but I resisted & told him I thought it was a waste of money.
Managed to resist for ten years on the computer and then a friend showed me the wonders of the worldwide web !
My husband went out and bought us a computer I've been enjoying our waste of money for a few years now .
Lolo it seems I could ramble on forever so I'll close this note to say hello right now ! Glad you are here

Hello!I'm a mother of three.
I hope to be here for a very long time.
I love talking to other moms.
I don't get to do that alot.
I've been looking for a forum like this.
Thanks for being on the net.
I too am new to this forum but not to forum posting, not by a long shot. My name is Beth, but since I noticed there's a few other Beths here, it's probably best if I go by Xintara, a name I made up for a pet lop-earred bunny when I was in my 20s. I'm now 41 years of age.
I was the single parent to my daughter who is now 13 years old until I met my wonderful husband, Thom... online. We met 2 years before I actually moved from NYC to Texas to be with him. It'll be 3 years in January since I made that life altering (and wonderful) move. My daughter joined us over a year ago. I'm so lucky that they each other. My husband is the most patient and comp***ionate person I've ever met which is good because with my moderate-severe bouts of depression and OCD (Obsessive, Compulsive Disorder) I really need such patience.
It took a while to adjust to sharing parenting with Thom as I've not had to do that for the first 9 1/2 years of my daughter's life.
I love partaking in crafts of most kinds. This past summer I taught myself to knit. The previous summer I taught myself to tat. My daughter crochets, which I taught her how to do a few years back. She and I love to bake together and she's becoming quite the cook in general. My husband and I have allowed her to make dinner on occ***ion and she's done quite well, needing only a little with draining pasta or taking things out of the oven.

Hi! Xintara. Welcome. You're going to love it here.
I know what you mean about sharing parenting. I was a single mom for the first 4.5 years of Matt's life and it was a struggle to have someone else correct him. Sometimes, still, I have to put my hand over my mouth when Bill corrects him and we' ve been married for almost 10 years!
It sounds like your hubby and daughter have a great relationship. That's wonderful. It's always nice to hear success stories of blending families.
Hello Everyone!!
