Hi. My name is Erica and I just joined Momzone. I posted this on the Jump In forum before I saw this one. So
if you've already seen my little (HA! little!)introduction!
I live in Houston, TX, well actually in Cypress, which is on the NW outskirts of Houston. I guess I should introduce myself. Forgive me if it gets long...I'm a writer/editor/author/publisher. I'll try to be brief.
I'm 47, a divorced mom of two wonderful teenage boys (14 and 17). As I said, I'm an author with one book published and the 2nd one to be published in 2007. I published my first one, "Moms and Their Young Spirited Boys" and will be publishing my second one (not sure of the title yet but I may ask for your suggestions!).
I am now about to embark on a fabulous adventure of speaking and training. I'm putting my business plan together for my business called The Maiden Warrior. It's for women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s (and beyond) who wish to set sail on a journey of self awareness of the "female warrior" within themselves. We've been all things to all people, but at the compromise of ourselves. There comes a time that we have to search inside to reconnect with the Divine Female so that we can be all that we were put on this earth to be. The Maiden Warrior program is a series of monthly evening workshops and quarterly weekend retreats that will be enlightening, intense, interactive, and fun. It will also offer related products such as my second book, which the program is based on, wisdom cards, artistically designed matted (and possibly framed) sayings or prose authored by me that will have special messages for women, t-shirts, and the like. I'm about to start developing my website and will be enlisting Momzone's web hosting services.
It's great to be getting back into the groove and reconnecting with women/moms. I've been spending the past 5 1/2 years since my divorce, digging deep inside myself to do what I wish to now share with other women/moms. So here's to "coming back out into the world!" I hope to be there for you and look forward to meeting all the great women/moms here!
