Starting a new thread cus the other one is from 03 that I could find. Who has in laws that behave poorly?
My dh and i have been married for almost 8 years. I have seen her 4 times in that 8 years. She has met our 7 yr old son twice and our 5 yr old only once. She lives in AZ we live in OH. I cannot tell you how many times we have offered to buy her a plane ticket to come see us and she won't do it. I guess I'm pretty petty when it comes to her, but I can't
it. She sent my sons a flannel shirt for christmas last year and I got one bonne bell lip gloss, and dh got 10 bucks. She doesn't call them on the phone to say hi or she loves them or anything. She didn't send them anything for their birthdays. I don't feel l'm missing out on her, but my children are. My dh is just very flip about the whole thing...thats just how she is...
. It just irks me. Thanks for listening to my rant.
I can't talk to DH about it. He just gets defensive.
. My MIL is a witch with a b she makes trouble between my husband and myself. She acts like a nice person in front of her son behind his back is another story. I do the same. When she says go ahead tell my son as if he is going to believe you. I say the same thing. We are at a stand still. He wants her to come to NY to visit she keeps stalling him because she says that she will be dammed if she comes to my house. Better for me. So take it all with a grain of salt and ignore it. I have learned to do so. One thing about her she dotes on my kids. Some MIL are mean and some are not. I had bad luck my first marriage was done in by my MIL and now this one is not done it because, she is in Mexico and I am here in USA. It has been 16 years going on 17 that has her so mad. I
