Has anyone tried....

the swiffer duster with the extendable handle? If so how do you like it. I have a tough time climbing up to clean my ceiling fan. and the less I have to give it a scrub the better. Cant even pay my DD to do it she hates it too.

Polly, I would hope someone would have tried it and could tell us about it. I like the dusters themselves. but this handle if it will hold up would be great.

HI!
Yes I have tried it and it works pretty good. But like for ceiling fans you still will get dust on the floor from it and all over the room.(only if you wait to do it for 3 months like I did)
I know I should do it more but I don't have the time as I am doing housekeeping for a few other people now. I guess its sad that I don't get more done at home but after cleaning three houses and one office I don't feel like cleaning my own....

But it is good for getting any cobwebs from the corners on the ceiling and dusting the walls. If you do it once a week (ceiling fan) it works pretty good!

deedeesunshine I know what you mean about the ceiling fans yes it made a mess here (its been a while since I climbed up there to clean) I hope to keep up with it now that i dont have to. I agree its great for geting cobwebs in the corners as with some of my furniture i cant move it or climb on it so it s a lot.

I also have the wet jet I havent had a problem with my cats getting as they hate the sound of it so they run to other rooms and hide and take naps by the time they return the floor is dry. its great too so there are no kitty prints on the floor

Has anyone tried....

Countrymama,
Previously I read a post on here somewhere that after a period of time swifter dusters will wreck your furniture.
So my suggestion is going to Ace hardware or target & finding a ceiling fan duster. I have one & love it.
Or you could even make one using a coat hanger & old rags & a old mop handle. Making the hanger wire oval to fit around ceiling fan blades.
Sincerely,
evlevo85

I have the swiffer duster with the extension and it works very well I am a short woman and I hated to climb on things just to dust everyweek. Now I do it without effort. I don't know about ruining the furniture but, I like the way it works so I will keep using it. I have asthmatic children and the doctor recommended the swiffer duster. The dust fly less and is very quick. So far my kids don't sneeze everytime I dust.
