Red face Hello All!!!

In my home it's almost imossible to get everyone in the same spot at the same time. Dinner time is always at 4o'clock, but that doesn't mean everyone is home, or in the same room. I always have plates ready to be warmed and pots on the stove. I made it point for myself and my 3 kids to have snack time at 7o'clock, no matter what! This is where I can touch base on their days, and find out whats in their little minds. It works out perfect, since snacks are an all time favorite in this house. I continue the conversation by letting them sit at the kitchen table and color or play a game together. Even though I see them all day, I don't really get the just of their problems etc.... So everyonein one room for an hour keeps me up on what they need, or feel.... Does anyone else have a family hour, or do something similar?? (Mickie)

Smile Hello...

~~~ Thanks Schoof ~~~ My sil and I take her 3 and my 3 to Church every Sun. too. We try the park thing, but some are to old for the park (YEA RIGHT) ! So they think they are LOL.... 9 and 10 are sooooooo old and mature... Yesterday we had a b-day party at a bug museum for my 10 year old and 15 of is ! I thought it would be a nut house! All worked out good, many ages were there. I guess it as a guided tour so they felt like the guy was a teacher or something... Too funny
That sounds like a lot of fun! That is that you have a routine for every week.
Smile Hello....
Yea.... The Sunday plan works out well... I'm a real routine person.... Not saying it always works, but I try my hardest. I think I'm a little comulsive about having to get things done. Maybe it comes with the turf.. LOL.
I am transitioning from being a full time working away from home mom to a waorking at home mom and being a real mom again. I am trying to get on a schedule, but I seem to be having a pretty hard struggle with it. Any suggestions?
Smile Hello....
Hey Schoof... My way may sound , but it works for me. I have 3 kids, work 2 days a week, my dad works full time, and my mom had a stroke. She's ok, but can't get around very well. As you can see, I'm single (happy now) and moved in with my parents. Ok, so the only wayI can keep organized is to keeptime limits, and times for everything. Baths all different times for all different kids. Only a half hour in the tub to play. Etc.. Dinner, lunch, all that at the same time every day. Shopping same day each week... Weird HUH? I only work on Tues and Thurs. cuz my daughter is in preschool for those two days. I' really weird about babysitters. Too many bad people n the world. Even know my schedule is tight, I try to spend time with my kids. It seems to work out that they get my individual time, but it's hard to get them all together at once. I think because their ages vary, and they are all involved in different activities???? Well??? Sound or what? I have a routine for everyone, every day. Even Dad on Sat. and Sun. LOL LOL. He calls it Mr. Fix It Day..
Thanks for sharing with me. I don't think that sounds at all. Hey, something has to work. I also have three kids and have been trying to type at least two hours per day. I have tons of tapes just waiting for me and I feel really overwhelmed with all of the housework, etc.
It has to get better -- I just have to get this work done and off of my plate!
Then I will have more time to get organized -- !
