Individual Kid Time

Do you set aside time to do things with each of your children? What type of things do you do with them?

One of the things I do with my three, is that they take turns going to the grocery store with me. I rotate them. And when they go to the store with me alone, they get a special treat like their own little bottle of chocolate milk to drink on the way home. They are not allowed to tell what they got, although they all know I do the same thing with each of them. The grocery store is great because while we are walking around we really talk a lot. I have found out amazing things while at Farm Fresh!

s. I understand how hard it must be for you with a new baby. I am trying to remember what I did after my second one was born.....but that was quite a while ago. Thanks Lulu. I am hoping to be able to take Shawn to the movies once a month, just me and him but need to find some other little things we can do. Daddy has been playing soccer with him almost everyday. So far he isn't jealous of Wesley but I want it to stay that way.

Hi Bellingsworth darling, how are you?

When I was Nannying, they had 3 kids, 2 gals & a boy, about like 6, 4 & 2. The parents were always trying to have "special time" with one or the other, and this created a terrible sibling rivalry like you wouldn't BELIEVE if it was planned/discussed at all in adavnce! It worked better if they just kinda played it by ear, more of a spur of the moment thing! Real Casual, ya know?

I know the Kids also did had special little nicknames that the parent would JUST call that one child, and that made them feel very special & loved! I hope this

Hi Bruinsmama! I am doing ok. I feel moppy at the moment for some reason though. The good thing is that right now I don't think Wesley will be jealous of me planning things with Shawn. The hardest thing will be since I am breastfeeding it makes it a little harder to leave Wesley with daddy. I am hoping he won't reject the bottles I have been making up with breast milk. I am hoping to find some things to do with Shawn here at home so I can do things while Wesley is
