We go to Church together, me & DH and the Kid, and if family wants to come (any Inlaws that are visiting) they can come, too!

The 3 of us also read every night after my son has his .

We host a buffet here on Christmas Eve, that is a big extended family tradition thing!

What else? We like to go to the free festivals around the area in the warm weather months also, in the Winter we go to the Food Court in the mall & play video games and maybe grab a snackie -poo!

We love to go to state parks to hike -the more remote, the better. On our first real hike, DH found a stick just the right size for a walking stick. Of course DD needed one too, then. DH and DD spent the rest of the day (after the hike) making fancy walking sticks. They carved little finger places in them with a dremel tool, and made holes for a leather handle. DD just had to have feathers and beads on hers, so we made a trip to a craft store the next week. For us the most crucial element to great, spontaneous family fun is the availablility of time free from household repair projects and overtime. When we are pressured, I try to make the work fun. Tonight DD was begging for stirfry, so I taught her how to make it. She was so proud of herself, she virtually glowed at the dinner table.

We are going apple picking soon, and also walking in a Walkathon to benefit the Chikldren's Center here that has been ing my son with his Physical therapy for his Developmental delay.

we also want to join the Zoo, if you are a member you get lotsa free goodies & things that are special!

We do all of our religious Rituals together. We go camping often. We go to Pagan Pride Day and Gay Pride Day. We go to various festivals around town. Then, of course, we go to the playground, the zoo, the science musuem, the childrens museum, the art museums, and the library. We read together. We decorate for the Sabbats (there are 8 a year) and do activities for them. We read together and to each other. We play music together. We do puzzles and board games. We . We plant things. We play with clay. We paint.

And of course a million other things!

So, both random Acts of Family and traditional ones.

We go to the mountains togerther. The kids love to go fishing. They also love to go up there and around and look for animals!!! we were going to go camping this year, but the weather at night has gotten too , so we will have to wait until next year!
