Smile Finding the wildlife

Finding the wildlife

The other day, my son Ian asked me about wildebeests. He had heard them mentioned on television. And, being a typically curious four-year-old, he had to learn more.

First he wanted to know what they look like. His next question was, “Where do they live?" That turned into “What do they eat and drink?”

OK, I was unprepared, but I handled it well. I hopped online and found the World Wildlife Fund's WildFinder.

WildFinder is a great tool for finding information on animals and their habitats. Type in a species, and it maps out their environment. Or, you can list species by region. This is great for bird watchers!

So, I was able to tell Ian that wildebeests only live in Africa. I think their horns look menacing, but he wasn't !

Make it a great day! I'll see you tomorrow with another site!
