Our daughter's only 10 and had started the whole attitude thing
After two whole weeks of ignoring her 'mouth rattles' as we called it , she stopped. When I asked what happened to the attitude, she said she wasn't getting any attention so didn't see the point in doing it eek .......If we had known this beforehand........it would have saved us a lot of grief!
If she laid a hand on anyone, we removed privileges starting with playing or spending time with

- Needless to say that after 1 month of being completely 'homebound' except for school (for attempting to beat up her brother), she has stopped. During the time she was at home, we made sure that we discussed other possibilities on dealing with anger that would not lead to violence of any kind.
The other day she came home from school, gave her Dad and I HUGE

and said "You know, you guys are pretty

for parents & I really do

". When we asked her what that was about, she said that even though we don't have much money, we do our best to

them and we still love them, even when they make mistakes. When I said that we all made mistakes but that we needed to learn from them to make our lives better, she said "Ya, I know. But sometimes it's hard to be just a kid and I can't even imagine what it must be like to be an adult. If I actually listened, I could learn more about being an adult so that when I'm one, I'll know exactly what to do." (Little

made our day! & I think Hubby and I almost fell off our chairs)

& Keep Smiling!
