My oldest is getting a mouth on her I swear if I hear her let me to bite her one more time I am going to walk over and bite her. I am so tired of her telling me to blow her or shut up mom, my butt mom I am have told her if she wants to be treated with respect she needs to show me some or i will treat her the same way she treats me.

What do you all think?

What do I think ? Personally one's not ever to old for a bar of soap being inserted into one's mouth for vulgarity or rudeness < smile > .

I agree. A bar of soap sounds good to me. PLUS, taking away of privledges. When my kids started using the word "aint" too much, I fined them 10 cents for everytime they said it. It came out of their allowance. AND, if that is not an option, another way I discipline, is everytime they say/do something they were told not to, they owe me 10 minutes of cleaning whatever I said. It works if you stick to your guns.

I'm at the point of pulling my hair out today ladys. My oldest is talking slimy stuff to that she is hot and that i want her and stuff I get so mad at her becouse she does this to her sister to and makes me so mad and to hear her say things like this.
There father thinks he is just the hottist thing that walked on this earth (WHATEVER) And he has always acted this way. I see Amanda picking up this bad behaveyer. And talking to him is like talking to a brick wall he knows it all of course.

A Little Story

Our daughter's only 10 and had started the whole attitude thing
After two whole weeks of ignoring her 'mouth rattles' as we called it , she stopped. When I asked what happened to the attitude, she said she wasn't getting any attention so didn't see the point in doing it eek .......If we had known this beforehand........it would have saved us a lot of grief!
If she laid a hand on anyone, we removed privileges starting with playing or spending time with - Needless to say that after 1 month of being completely 'homebound' except for school (for attempting to beat up her brother), she has stopped. During the time she was at home, we made sure that we discussed other possibilities on dealing with anger that would not lead to violence of any kind.
The other day she came home from school, gave her Dad and I HUGE and said "You know, you guys are pretty for parents & I really do ". When we asked her what that was about, she said that even though we don't have much money, we do our best to them and we still love them, even when they make mistakes. When I said that we all made mistakes but that we needed to learn from them to make our lives better, she said "Ya, I know. But sometimes it's hard to be just a kid and I can't even imagine what it must be like to be an adult. If I actually listened, I could learn more about being an adult so that when I'm one, I'll know exactly what to do." (Little made our day! & I think Hubby and I almost fell off our chairs)

& Keep Smiling!
