Thumbs up Sweet Jalapeno Ribs (YUM!)

Sweet Jalapeno Ribs

2 16 oz cans beans (pinto, red, or kidney)
3 lbs country style pork ribs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 med onion, chopped
1 jar (10.5 oz) of red jalapeno jelly
1 5 oz bottle steak sauce

Sprinkle ribs with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Place on rack and broil 18 - 20 minuts. Add ribs to slow cooker and sprinkle with onion. Combine jelly and steak sauce in a microwave safe bowl and heat until jelly melts. Pour over ribs and stir gently.

Cover and cook on high 5 - 6 hrs or on low 9 -10 hours Throw beans in the last 40 minutes.

MMMMMMM....this sounds yummy! But I never heard of Jalapeno Jelly! Is it with the peppers and relish or the jelly?

Kricket, I've always found it in the relish pickles area and sometimes in ethnic food (don't know why it'd be there, but sometimes it is) It is really, really, really tasty stuff, great on corn meal muffins!
