I know that Christmas is still a ways off, but if you would like to your child make a special gift for their teacher now is the perfect time to start. These are the directions for making very simple, but elegant looking Christmas ornaments. You will need to purchase the clear glass ornaments very soon, before the craft stores sell out.

Painted Christmas Ornaments: You will need to purchase clear glass round ornaments. These can be found at any craft store as soon as Christmas decorations are put into stock. Purchase small bottles of pain in the colors of gold, silver, blue, and red. Carefully pull out the ornament hanging wire and set to the side. Gently squeeze paint into the glass ball and let it run down the inside of the ornament. Be sure not to put to much paint in the ornament. Once the paint is inside, you can swirl it around. Using two colors makes for a very nice ornament. Any extra paint can be poured out of ornament. Be sure to leave the ornament hanger out for a few days to allow the paint to dry.
