One of the members here on the forum sent me a beautiful present that she made for me!

She crocheted me a beautiful pillow cover featuring a lighthouse! I totally love it since I collect lighthouses!

Thanks Darlene! Its awesome!

Well you do a great job im not good at sewing or knitting or anything like that but you do a great job. I do latchhook rungs which havnet had time to do in years. But my thing is dolphins thats my favorite thing and hope at sometime to get a latchhook rug of one. I try to at least read 10 min a day takes longer to read a book but I get to do that at least with 4 kids I never have time for a lot these days.

Well a needle and thread is a no go with me. I have no patience with sewing. With knitting or crocheting I have seen me rip out almost a whole afghan if I see a mistake. It bugs me and I have to go back and fix it. I have all the patience in the world with that kind of thing.
It would be difficult with 4 kids to try and sit to work on a latch rug or something. I have done those too and they are fun.
Once the kids get older you will have more time for those things.

The only thing I can sew is a button that fell off or a hole thats small thats about it. I never had the patience to learn to knit my mom tried to teach me but couldnt learn . Well keep up your crafts you could make a lot and sell t hem at a craft fair or on line.

I learned how to knit when I was about 10 and never could learn crochet until after I was married. My sister in law tried all day to teach me and it just wasn't clicking with me. I took the yarn, book and hook home with me and sat by myself and went over the next day with a granny square done. She asked me who made it for me. She didn't think I did it.
I guess I just had to sit on my own and concentrate. I have been crocheting since then and its over 31 years now. I love it.
I do sell a lot of my work right here at home and have sold some of my afghans online too. I will be doing this for a long time yet I hope. Thanks.

Well as for going to craft fairs, I don't have time yet to get enough made to attend one. As quick as I have the afghans made, they are sold or I make them as people want them. Then babysitting kind of takes away from my crochet time too. Oh well maybe I will have enough done by the fall and everyone will be looking for a different kind of Christmas gift.

have a great weekend.

Darlene,

You have some really wonderful afghans you made. I wish I was able to crochet like that.
