If using real eggs, blow the insides out, wash, rinse, and let dry. Choose three colors for your first egg. Some nice combinations are: yellow, white, and pink; yellow, white, and green; pink, white, and lavender; lavender, white, and blue; and blue, white, and green. Place small amounts of the three colors, about the size of a quarter, on the disposable plate. Soak the sponge in water and squeeze out the excess. Sponge one color on one end of the egg, rinse out the sponge, and apply the other color to the other end. Sponge on white where you want the colors to lighten. Sponge to blend the colors together until the desired look is achieved. Let dry. Display in a basket, in egg cups, in a large jar, in a sand filled bowl, or however you like.
