This is something you have got to try! It is so much fun! I made a rag quilt for my Mom for Christmas, and it turned out nicely.
The main is to sew backwards from the way you normally do. Seams are on the outside instead of inside.
I just got a booklet at the fabric store called Easy Americana Rag Quilting by Annis Clapp. It has some beautiful patriotic quilts.
The only thing I would suggest if you try this is........don't wear something nice when you sew. The strings seem to go everywhere.
Hope you will try it.
Happy quilting!

That sounds ! I love to quilt but I am not very good at it. Could I probably get away with making mistakes on this one? Maybe you can post a picture of the quilt you completed? That would be great! I am going to look this kind of quilting up on the internet! Thanks!

I did make mine a few rows larger. And yes, you don't have to be perfect on this one, or I never would have tried it!!
Hope you get a chance to try it out!
I find quilting very relaxing................

Thank you for the link! I will check it out! It sounds great! Right now I am trying to finish my daughter's quilt. I have only been working on it for 2 years! I made a center piece for the quilt from crosstitch. I will try and take a picture of it so you can see it. I am in the process of tying off the quilt. I am thinking about hiring someone to do the edges for me as I dont have a sewing machine anymore!

Great link! I just printed the instructions. I always have several quitl tops going at once and it takes me years to get them completed. I still love to start new ones every time I see fabric.
Thanks for the info!
I know what you mean. I usually have many projects going. About the only way that I finish one is because I have a deadline! Such as Christmas, birthdays, etc.
So when I try to make something for myself.........it never gets done!
My hat is off to you if you are a crosstitcher. I have done some, but it just tries on my nerves! I usually am a very easy going person, but when it comes to crosstitch, its another story!
Good evening to all,
