I used to love to sew when I was young. I just haven't had time anymore. Every now and then though, I do think about getting out the machine again.

Tracee I think that is great!!! I will never be that good though. I like to make pillows or little things like that, but I haven't even had my machine out for way over a year, shame on me.

Polly let me tell you your chatting with a women that flunked home eck in school could not sew to keep my greade. Anyway i hubby and i started in this renassace group 4 years ago and got me some pattrens and learned from watching others. And it has catched on I am so ed at what i can do. I do end up starting stuff and not getting it done for a bit but sometimes i lose my and i need to walk away from it for a bit. But really the pattrens are not that hard and they have easy ones out there to start with. You learn as you go. and if you can make a pillow you can sew something else trust yourself you can

nenokku is on a distinguished road
Tracy,

I know that it can be hard and frustrating, my husband and are into the same hobby. But his friend likes the chain mail armor. Luckily, my husband takes care of that part of the making, but leaves the sewing to me. With 3 kids all under 12 I practice my sewing on clothing for them and use the same type of patterns for us. The kids really love this. They have their Halloween costumes in July!! But the look of the finished product is really worth all the aggrevation. I hope that you and your husband will not over the machine. Try sharing parts of the patterns together. You will get more satisfaction our of it if you can both say you did it together.

Red face

My oldest is taking homeeck this year and she can't get the sewing down i told her she does'nt have to put her foot fully down on the sewing pettle (i can see her driving now with her foot down to the floor board) She need's to sew a stret line i told her to take it slow she doesn't have to do it fast. And the teacher should be telling her she is going to fast daaaaaaaaaa! dum teacher anyway. I hope she can go to school tomorow and do it right.
I learned on my own with no i just put my mind to it and teached myself.
