A Request

I would like every lady onboard to submit here, their #1 family pleasing recipe. Does not matter if it's a dessert, appetizer, entree, etc.

My "specialty" is my sauce (gravy as Italians refer to it) but I really don't have a recipe, I just DO IT...sort of a Nike like spaghetti sauce, if you will. rotflmao My ex once told a friend I made the second best sauce he ever tasted. His friend asked whose was the best. He told the guy he hadn't tasted it yet! Now that's a nice compliment. Every time I go see Jason I either arrive with lots of containers of sauce or make some for him while I'm there. I made a huge pot of it last Sunday so I could feed my SIL when she kindly came with me for my nerve block. But to try to come up with a recipe people could follow would be difficult although I've tried.

There are a few that are real family favorites that I make...I think the top two are my Chili and Spaghetti Sauce. The only difference between the two is cumin and chianti. Well, that's not the only difference, there are other seasonings, but they're almost the same w/the meat, tomato, onion & garlic.

I love this easy soup recipe:
Southwestern Vegetable soup (Its a real winner)
Can of crushed tomatoes
can of corn (drained)
can of green beans (drained)
can Rotel tomatoes
4 oz. can green chilies
can of en broth or one boullion cube with 1 cup water
3 cups water
1 package taco seasoning
1 cup monterey jack cheese
6 oz. of corn tortillas cut into strips
Can of en breast (in water) or prepared ground beef are OPTIONAL. I PREFER using the en, it adds a terrific element to the soup.

Combine cans w/water and seasoning. Bring to a gentle boil and allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Then slowly add tortilla strips and cheese. Serve when cheese is melted and tortillas are soft.

I probably make this recipe once a week or so and there's always leftovers to enjoy for the next day's lunch.
We call this the "dump dump dump" soup b/c we're just dumping cans in a pot.
LOVE this soup.
Y'all try it, make it a family favorite at your house.

This is not THE favorite recipe~my cheesecake pie is, and I don't have time right now to post it....but this is something I have been meaning to share because it is so easy~this is NOt for those watching their fat grams!

Miss Bumbles Famous SLOP !!!!!!!

One Pound of fully cooked Polish Sausage

3-4 large potatoes, washed & sliced ~do not peel.

One onion peel, slice in large pieces

Par boil potatoes. Drain

Slice polish sausage into 1/2 inch slices.

Throw potatoes, onion and sausage in a pot and fry it up. I usually serve corn with it as a vegetable and my friend tod me she recently made my SLOP and drained a can of corn and threw it right in with the other ingredients.
