Works for me, even though I am not doing much baking this year I'd be happy to share some recipes...here's one of my fav's:

Chocolate Crinkles makes about 4 dozen

1/2 cup butter
8 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 cups white sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
6 eggs
2/3 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

Melt butter and chocolate either in a microwave or over low heat on the stove. Allow to slightly
Stir in remaining ingredients, except powdered sugar. Mix well.
Cover dough and chill for 30 minutes
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar to coat heavily. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased sheet. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until edges are set. Remove from sheet and on rack.

Those look delicious. I have a crinkle recipe but it does not have the nuts. Yours is my new favorite crinkle recipe!

Does not look like we have many takers on this one.:(

Peanut Blossoms

Here is my contribution!

PEANUT BLOSSOMS

1 bag (13 oz) Hershey's Kisses
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup Creamy or Crunchy Peanut Butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Granulated sugar

Heat oven to 375F. Remove wrappers from chocolate pieces. In large mixer
bowl, beat shortening and peanut butter until well blended. Add sugars; beat
until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together
flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to peanut butter mixture. Shape
dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased
sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately place
chocolate piece on top of each , pressing down so cracks around
edges. Remove from sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.

I always do a Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisen that gets raves & it's super easy.

Follow the directions on the bag of Toll House Choc Chips...cut the amount of Choc chips by third and replace the other 2/3rds with oatmeal and raisens (ie: 1/3 cup choc cips, 1/3 cup raisens, 1/3 cup oatmeal)

Finish as directed. I always make these for potlucks and family get togethers and get rave reviews.

Enjoy!
