Un-Salting Salted Nuts

To unsalt nuts for a recipe, drop salted nuts in a pot of boiling water for 2 minutes; drain. Dry on a baking sheet in a 200-degree oven. Cool and use.

I never thought I would want to UN salt anything, but since DH's diabetes, I was looking for unsalted sunflower seeds.. Do you think this would work for dry roasted sunflower seeds???

I'm not sure, it never hurts to try. Just put a handful in and try them.
