Removing A Cake From The Pan

Ever make a fabulous cake only to have it ruined when you try to take it out of the pan? Patience is the key. When the cake is done baking, Let it sit at room temperature in the pan for 15 minutes. Then, with a very thin knife or spatula, carefully "cut" around the edges of the pan to loosen the sides. Let the cake sit in the pan for another 10 minutes. Then, invert onto a cake rack. Make sure to let the cake sit and for at least another 30 minutes before frosting it. Very stubborn cakes can be removed from the pan by placing the bottom of the pan in hot water for a few minutes. Make sure to dry the bottom well before inverting the pan onto a cake rack!

patient???? with a cake??? surely you are kidding???

I just take a fork full of frosting and eat the cake right out of the pan when it is still warm!

I hadn't realized that you had to take it out!!!

That is how they get those cakes to look like that! I always wondered.
