Clean Up Tips
a.. Loosen grime from a can opener with an old hbrush. To clean blades, run a paper towel through the cutting process.
b.. To clean a scorched sauce pan--fill the pan halfway with water and add 1/4 cup baking soda. Boil awhile until the burned portions loosen & float to the top.
c.. When a drain is clogged with grease, pour a cup of salt and a cup of baking soda followed by a kettle of boiling water.
d.. Rub salad oil on your grater before using for quick clean up.
e.. A hbrush works great to clean lemon rind, cheese, onion, etc out of the greater before cleaning.
f.. While baking fruit pies, does the juice run over? Shake salt into the spills. They will burn crisp & can be easily scraped up with a spatula
g.. Grease splatters, or other foods that have dried on the stove, burner rings, counter appliances, etc., maybe removed by applying dry baking soda to the spots, then rubbing with a damp cloth. Rinse with clear water--dry.
h.. To remove lime deposits from teakettles, fill with equal parts of water & vinegar. Bring to a boil & allow to stand over night.
i.. Soak shower head in vinegar to remove the hardwater build up.
